The IoCM is the only professional membership organisation in Europe dedicated to change management practitioners.  As the first such organisation, we aim to initiate and oversee standards of professional practice and consistency around change management.  Demand for effective change management programmes, tools and techniques is set to increase as organisational change is inevitable in an increasingly competitive market place.  Clearly defined professional standards are essential to enable organisations to identify the knowledge, skills and competencies required to deliver change successfully.

Managers charged with ‘change management’ and indeed managers with ‘change management’ in their role titles are becoming more numerous, and the process itself is becoming acknowledged as a key organisational attribute.

The art of successfully managing and implementing change requires particular skills and knowledge and we aim to drive the evolution of the  profession and to become a recognised entity consisting of cross-business change specialists.
